Coffin edge bander
The coffin edge bander is yet another innovation from Lamont. With this machine specifically designed for the coffin manufacturing industry, it is possible to bond a decorative moulding onto the coffin edge, with a cycle time of around 8 seconds.

Up to 35 mouldings can be loaded into a feeder magazine at any one time. These mouldings are then drawn out of the magazine and bonded to the coffin side, using hot melt glue as the side passes through the length of the machine, using a drive belt conveyor system.
The sides are then able to move on to the next mitre cutting process immediately.
